After 21 months of some form of lockdown in some part of the country, I fear they may be coming back with a vengeance. The organization responsible for havoc worldwide has now reversed course and has come out against lockdowns. In a recent announcement, the WHO has stated that lockdowns' economic impact is worse than the virus. Something we have been saying from the beginning. While making this statement, they take no responsibility for what has taken place. Instead, they seem to imply that the countries' governments were responsible for the damage inflicted on millions worldwide. Over the last few days, major news outlets, including Fox, have been running stories about a new variant or strain of SARS-COV-2, or more popularly named coronavirus and COVID-19. The Fox story runs with the headline, "Coronavirus mutation emerges that may bypass mask-wearing, hand-washing protections." Shocking news! Everything we may have been doing to protect ourselves may no longer protect us. Oh no! The only thing that may work could be total isolation. But wait, let's examine the story further. The new mutation has been dubbed D614G. Where have I heard that before? Hmmm, let me see. Oh, I remember.

With the General Election fast approaching, campaign rhetoric has turned to the COVID-19 crisis as the central campaign talking point for the left. To hear them talk, you would think the current crisis will extend well into next year. At least until after their candidate is sworn in. The only two topics the left wants to talk about are how bad of a person our President has been and how badly, in particular, he has handled the COVID-19 crisis. When asked what they will do, they say extend the lockdowns and mandate the use of masks for eight weeks.
