What If We Have Been Misled??

I highly recommend everyone read a newly published article on Fox News, where Judge Andrew Napolitano asks the question, What if?  Basically, he asks, what if the government is wrong?  What if they are wrong in so many ways?  What he doesn’t ask is, what if the media is wrong?  What if the media is wrong using COVID-19 to help the government create an environment of fear?  What if the media is wrong when they only report negative views?  What if social media is wrong when they censor views not consistent with their narrative?  What if the media is aiding, unknowingly those who would suppress our voices?  What if the media is cooperating with those who would suppress our voices?

What if we the people should speak out when we are slighted by the government?  What if the real reason our forefathers made free speech the first amendment was so we would speak out?  Remember it is an amendment.  Free speech was not written into the Constitution.  There arose so much complaint about the Constitution as written that the writers were forced to incorporate the first 10 Amendments in order for the various colonies to ratify the Constitution.  The voice of the people spoke out and expressed their dissatisfaction with the Constitution because it did not explicitly address concerns the people wanted to be addressed in the founding document.  The Declaration of Independence spoke to the Rights afforded by our creator but did not outline how a government should ensure those rights were protected from tyranny.  The People insisted the Constitution address these concerns.  That led to the creation of the First Ten Amendments.

I thank Judge Napolitano for his commentary and the questions he has raised regarding the lawfulness of government controls imposed during the current crisis.  We should all question the government’s actions.  We should question so many things.  We should question the news media.  We should question social media.  We should question science.  We should question our doctors.  And after asking all of our questions we should make our own decisions.

Again, please read Judge Napolitano’s article.

About the author

I enjoy writing for the internet. I have varied interests but my main interest is current affairs. I like to delve into the backstories and look at the data and the facts. I find it extremely disconcerting when people take news stories at face value without exercising critical thinking to determine if what is being said makes sense or if their are alternative views to be considered. I chose to develop this web site because I found the damage to America getting out of control as politicians and the media preyed upon the fear they had created in the public's mind.
