When will the Lockdowns End?

COVID-19, Election, Lockdown, Lockdowns, SARS-COV-2

With the General Election fast approaching, campaign rhetoric has turned to the COVID-19 crisis as the central campaign talking point for the left. To hear them talk, you would think the current crisis will extend well into next year. At least until after their candidate is sworn in. The only two topics the left wants to talk about are how bad of a person our President has been and how badly, in particular, he has handled the COVID-19 crisis. When asked what they will do, they say extend the lockdowns and mandate the use of masks for eight weeks. They obviously believe the crisis will still be with us at least through Jan 20, 2021. Despite evidence to the contrary.

The seven-day rolling average number of deaths per million inhabitants in the USA has been under three since Aug 22, 2020. The number of cases has had some ups and downs, but these are generally related to reporting. Not all states report over the weekend. When they finally get the data from the weekend, it looks like a spike in cases and deaths. This is why using the seven-day rolling average is so essential. It minimizes the spikes and valleys without actually influencing the data.

The left does not want schools to reopen. Despite the fact children have been the least infected by the virus. Where children have suffered is emotionally and mentally. The left doesn't care about the mental and emotional impact the lockdowns have had on the children, and they care even less about the impact it has had on their continuing education. They only care about defeating the President. They do not care about small business owners, blue-collar workers, middle-class America. Their interest is in re-acquiring power so they can dictate our way of life.

I am not sure how these intellectual frauds have convinced themselves they know better what is good for you and me than we do. Everything they touch turns to hell in a handbasket. Just look across America at the cities experiencing riots and demanding the defunding of the police. Almost all, if not all, have democrat mayors, democrat majority city councils, and democrat police chiefs. This has been the case for the past three decades in many cases. Are they so blinded by their ideology they cannot see what has led them to the brink of destruction? Do they actually believe a man who has been President for less than four years made this happen to them? But then there are none so blind as those who choose not to see.

All of this makes it imperative each and every person exercise his right to vote in the upcoming general election. If you have not registered to vote, do so. If you have, encourage others to do so as well. We should all be concerned about the legacy we will leave our children and grandchildren. Will we leave them a society where they can make decisions for themselves or will we leave them a society like that envisioned in George Orwell's 1984?  A society where politically correct speech is required rather than using words with real meaning. A society where everyone is observed to ensure he or she is adhering to the dictates of the intellectual elites. A society where the intellectual elites live like royalty and the rest of humanity lives in near poverty with no opportunity to escape to a better life.

The choice is ours.  Get Out to Vote.

About the author

I enjoy writing for the internet. I have varied interests but my main interest is current affairs. I like to delve into the backstories and look at the data and the facts. I find it extremely disconcerting when people take news stories at face value without exercising critical thinking to determine if what is being said makes sense or if their are alternative views to be considered. I chose to develop this web site because I found the damage to America getting out of control as politicians and the media preyed upon the fear they had created in the public's mind.
